Maintenance & Range · Practical owner checklist

A ten-minute check before you go

Keep routine owner checks separate from service work. Your handbook and model-specific service schedule remain the authority, including any distance, time or hybrid-engine conditions.

Do not work on high-voltage equipment, orange cables or battery enclosures. Refer defects and service work to suitably qualified personnel.

1Check tyres cold

Read the vehicle placard, then inspect pressure, tread and visible damage. Check the spare or repair kit arrangements for your model.

2Check visibility

Clean glass and cameras, inspect wipers and check washer fluid using the instructions in the handbook. Keep sensors unobstructed.

3Check lights and warnings

Test exterior lights and review any dashboard warnings. A persistent safety-related warning needs professional assessment.

4Review servicing and recalls

Compare the odometer and service dates with BYD’s schedule for your model and variant. Use official recall information and contact BYD if your vehicle may be affected.

5Secure the cabin and cargo

Secure loose accessories and luggage. Keep pedals, airbags, seat movement, belt paths and emergency access clear.

Check the official instructions

This checklist was prepared with reference to BYD Australia’s official manual directory and service information. Model-specific limits and operating sequences are intentionally left to your handbook. These general checklists do not verify feature availability for every vehicle.
